MISSING PHOTOS: There are still many subspecies for which I still do not have photos. These are listed on the Missing Photographs page. If anyone can help me and send me any, I would be eternally grateful. You would, of course have full recognition, and the photos would remain under your copyright.

16 June 2006

Well, here they are at last, the photos of the newly discovered species from the Foja Mountains of Irian Jaya ( or 'The Lost World' as the press in England liked to call it!). My deep appreciation to Henk van Mastrigt for his kind permission to reproduce his photos and original descriptions.

There will not be many updates in the near future, as I am almost out of new photos to add, and I am still busy preparing for my move, which will take place as soon as my house here is sold.

Finally, I have just heard of a new subspecies of D. nuydaorum (D. n. almae). Does anyone have any details of its distribution, and who and when was this first described by?

1 May 2006

I have just returned from one month in Thailand where I was arranging the furniture and fittings for my new home. I am hoping to move permanently over to Thailand before the end of the year. Accordingly, I have now placed my own property over here in England on the market. As you will appreciate, I now have a large amount of work to do here to ensure my house here is attractive to prospective purchasers, so I hope you will excuse me if there are not many new updates for a while. However, I do still have many new photos to add, including those of the new species found around the Foja Mountains in Papua, by Henk van Mastrigt. I will try to get as many of the photos as possible up before I leave.
