The most common subspecies listed in collections is not, in fact  D. mira excelsa, but  D. roepkei roepkei. 

Originally, this species also included D. roepkei and it's subspecies. Henk van Mastrigt, in his later work  upgraded D.mira roepkei to a separate species, with subspecies D.roepkei cieko. The newly described species, D.  pellos, was also listed as a ssp. of D. mira, but I have seen lists where it is considered a ssp. of D. roepkei, and also as a completely new species. This is yet another area where no-one seems to agree!
