Delias of West Sepik Province (Sandaun Province)

This province borders Papua (formerly Irian Jaya), and many of the species to be found here are also represented on the other side of the border.

As with the rest of the country, the majority of species are montane, i.e. mountainous species, and accordingly can be found only on the high Central Mountain Range which forms the southern part of this province.
