Notes         :
There has been much confusion in the past relating to the precise relationship between this species, together with Delias callista and Delias raymondi. It was once considered a subspecies of D.callista, whilst D.raymondi was considered a subspecies of D.luteola. To add further confusion, the subspecies D.callista miyashitai was considered to be a subspecies of D.luteola.
