| At one time, Delias telefominensis was
considered to be a subspecies. these two species are distinguished from
the rest of the group by having a black ground colour on the underside
hindwing, marked with reddish-brown markings.
The recently described subspecies, D.c.ayamiae should, in all likelihood , because of its geographical situation, be placed with D. telefominensis. However, without having seen a specimen, I can not contradict the information passed on to me by Yagishita. |
