| This species represents Delias salvini in New
Ireland. It can be distinguished by the large yellow apical area on both
sides of the forewing. The subspecies, D.b.restricta, differs by having the white area of the lower part of the forewing extended, and also having the red markings on the underside hind wing reduced. Very rare in collections. |
