| The most widespread of this group. Originally placed as
a subspecies of D. pheres.
Male: Upperside as in pheres. Underside of fore wing with the white area extended into the lower part of cell from below vein 2 to almost the cross-veins, more extended in cellule 3 and to near the tornus. Hind wing as in pheres. Female: Upperside as in pheres, but with reduced dark basal area on the fore wing. Some specimens tinged with yellow on the fore wing and some are milky-white with a gloss. Underside as in the male but band of hind wing wider and more white. |
