Wingspan : 45 - 65mm

Species details : Very similar, but larger, than the members of the Neptis Genus. This is a common butterfly which can be found everywhere on the Island.

Larval Foodplant :  Cratoxylun cochinchinense (Guttiferae), Pterocarpus indicus, Tadehagi triquetrum (both Papilionaceae), Reevesia pubescens, Sterculia lancelota (both Sterculiaceae)

Range                    : Burma, Thailand and Indo-China. Many other subspecies from India, China, Malaysia to Lesser Sunda Islands and the Philippines.
