Species details : A very common forest species. The male is highly territorial, and will chase any other butterfly that flies too close, before returning to its favourite perch.

Range                    : Peninsular Thailand and Malaysia. Other subspecies in N. E. India, N. Thailand and Indo-China. Also many other subspecies throughout Sundaland including Palawan.
